Aktar minn 78,000 siegħa f’ħidma ta’ manutenzjoni u tindif fil-komunitajiet
Aktar minn 25 kunsill lokali ġew mgħejjuna direttament minn OZO Group, grazzi għal kollaborazzjoni mal-Membru tal-Parlament Ewropew, Miriam Dalli.
Permezz ta’ din l-inizjattiva, 600 ħaddiem mill-kumpanija privata OZO Group qed jassistu lil aktar minn 25 kunsill lokali f’ħidma ta’ tindif u manutenzjoni. B’kollox, dawn il-ħaddiema s’issa ddedikaw aktar minn 78,000 siegħa ta’ ħidma lejn il-komunità, mingħajr ħlas. Il-grupp OZO ried jikkontribwixxi lura lill-komunità Maltija wara li l-Gvern għin lill-ħaddiema li spiċċaw bla xogħol minhabba l-coronavirus.
“Il-pandemija tal-coronavirus fissret żmien diffiċli għall-ħaddiema u anke’ għal min iħaddem, iżda rajna wkoll is-sabiħ ta’ diversi kumpaniji u negozji Maltin,” qalet Miriam Dalli.
“Huwa għalhekk sodisfaċenti meta tara kumpaniji bħal OZO Group li jridu jirreċiprokaw l-għajnuna tagħhom lill-pajjiż, hekk kif il-Gvern f’Malta qiegħed jagħti fost l-aktar skemi t’għajnuna b’saħħithom lill-ħaddiema. Ir-responsabilità soċjali ta’ dawn il-kumpaniji qed twassal biex jibbenefikaw diversi lokalitajiet.”

Over 78,000 hours of maintenance and cleaning work in communities
Through a collaboration between MEP Miriam Dalli and OZO Group, more than 25 local councils received voluntary assistance for the upkeep of their localities during the pandemic
More than 25 local councils have received assistance by OZO Group, thanks to a collaboration between the Member of the European Parliament Miriam Dalli and a private company.
Through this initiative, 600 workers employed by OZO Group are assisting over 25 local councils with cleaning and maintenance work in their respective localities. More than 78,000 hours of voluntary work were dedicated to communities in total. Following the assistance the Government provided to workers hit by the pandemic, OZO Group felt the need to reciprocate to the Maltese community.
“The coronavirus pandemic is a difficult moment in time for both employers and employees, but it is also highlighting the corporate social responsibility of various Maltese companies and businesses,” Miriam Dalli said.
“It is satisfying to see companies like OZO Group doing their bit to give something back on a national level, whilst the government is providing crucial support schemes to workers. Several localities are now benefitting from the social responsibility of this company.”
On his part, OZO Group Chief Executive Fabio Muscat thanked Miriam Dalli for believing in the #thankyouMalta initiative.
