The Christmas Village welcomed 9,000 visitors daily
Around 9,000 persons a day visited the third edition of Christmas in the Park at the Salini National Park. This event was organized by the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Enterprise with the participation of various entities within the same ministry.
Illuminated Pathway, live Nativity scene, Santa Claus and sustainable Christmas crafts were amongst the main attractions that attracted the interest of many visitors, especially children. This year’s edition, which took place between the 8th and 17th December, marked another successful edition, with more activities and attractions which were all Christmas related in various areas of the Park. Visitors also enjoyed live performances by local artists, bands, and children’s choirs.
Despite the bad weather of the last few days causing some Christmas in the Park activities to be cancelled, thousands of families enthusiastically participated in this yearly event. Visitors could experience a wonderful Christmas atmosphere while learning more about how they can be more sustainable during these festivities and during everyday life.
The Minister for Environment, Energy, and Enterprise Miriam Dalli said that “activities like this provide opportunities for more families to connect with our open spaces. We aim for parks and gardens in our country to truly become significant places in the lives of our communities. Simultaneously, with enjoyable events such as Christmas in the Park, we continue conveying the message about everyone’s role in working towards a more sustainable future.”
Minister Dalli thanked all those who took part in this popular activity, especially all the visitors who made this activity a success.
