More pet-friendly spaces: Completion of the Dog Park in Ta’ Qali

The Dog Park in Ta’ Qali has been given a new lease of life with newly installed accessories and obstacles ensuring a safe zone adapted to dogs of all sizes. During a visit at this pet-friendly park, Minister for the Environment Miriam Dalli together with Project Green CEO Steve Ellul commended the work conducted by the workers who have given a new lease of life to about 1,627 metres squared of land.

With the new fencing made of recycled material, together with a new canopy to provide shade on the installed benches and a colourful environment for dogs to play in, this zone has become safer for all dogs and owners.

This is another project focused on the regeneration of existing open spaces, which prioritises sustainability. As a matter of fact, every structure in the dogpark is made up of sustainable material.

Minister Miriam Dalli commended the work done and thanked all Project Green’s workers for their dedication as they ensure all projects completed are sustainable.

“The objective of the regeneration and creation of open spaces is to be enjoyed by everyone. With dedicated spaces and accessories, we ensure that these spaces are safe for our dogs as well,” said Minister Miriam Dalli. She continued by encouraging the public to make responsible use of these spaces and to keep the area clean.

CEO Steve Ellul explained how Project Green will continue working to create new open spaces, whilst regenerating existing ones. He emphasised the importance of security, as this park is surrounded by a fence two metres high and another fence one metre high to create distance between the small dogs’park and the one for the larger dogs. He also announced that Project Green will continue to work on other open spaces dedicated to dogs, even in the southern part of Malta.

The dog park in Ta’ Qali is open between 6.30am and 8.30pm during winter and between 6.30am and 7.30pm during summer months.

B’aċċessorji ġodda, żieda f’ostakli tal-logħob u żona aktar sigura, it-tisbiħ tal-Park tal-Klieb f’Ta’ Qali huwa komplut biex jilqa’ fi ħdanu klieb ta’ kull daqs. Bi ċnut għolja magħmula minn injam riċiklat, tined li jipprovdu d-dell fuq il-bankijiet u spazju kkulurit biex il-klieb ikollhom fejn jiġru u jilagħbu, iż-żona saret waħda aktar sigura għall-klieb u s-sidien tagħhom.

Dan huwa proġett ieħor ta’ riġenerazzjoni fejn ix-xogħol sar b’attenzjoni lejn is-sostenibbiltà taż-żona. Fil-fatt, kull struttura ġol-Park tal-Klieb hi magħmula b’injam meqjus bħala sostenibbli.

Il-Ministru Miriam Dalli faħħret ix-xogħol li sar u rringrazzjat lill-ħaddiema ta’ Project Green tad-dedikazzjoni tagħhom biex jassiguraw s-sostenibbiltà fil-proġetti li jitwettqu.

“Ir-riġenerazzjoni ta’ spazji miftuħa u l-ħolqien ta’ dawk ġodda huma intiżi biex jitgawdew minn kulħadd. Bi spazji ddedikati għalihom u b’tagħmir apposta, naċċertaw is-sigurtà tal-klieb tagħna wkoll,” qalet il-Ministru Miriam Dalli. Kompliet billi ħeġġet lill-pubbliku jagħmel użu responsabbli mill-post u jżomm l-indafa.

Min-naħa tiegħu, il-kap eżekuttiv Steve Ellul tenna li Project Green se tkompli bil-ħidma li toħloq spazji ġodda filwaqt li tkompli tirriġenera aktar postijiet. Saħaq ukoll dwar l-importanza tas-sigurtà, tant li dan il-park huwa mdawwar b’fence għoli żewġ metri, u ieħor tal-injam għoli metru biex joħloq id-distanza bejn il-park tal-klieb iż-żgħar u dawk kbar. Huwa ħabbar li Project Green se tkun qed tkompli taħdem ukoll fuq spazji oħra dedikati għall-klieb, fosthom fin-Nofsinhar ta’ Malta.

Il-ħinijiet tal-ftuħ tal-Park tal-Klieb f’Ta’ Qali huma bejn is-6.30am u t-8.30pm matul ix-xhur tax-xitwa u bejn is-6.30am u s-7.30pm fix-xhur tas-sajf.
